Vandals 'Tag' Issaquah Salmon Hatchery
The Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery say the damage could be expensive to repair.
The Issaquah Salmon Hatchery was hit by vandals Tuesday night, who left spray-painted "tags" on the windows of the fish ladder viewing area.
An estimate for fixing the damage was not immediately available, but the incident calls attention to the problem of tagging.
The Julius Boehm Pool building was tagged earlier this week, also with red spray paint, and a staff member said it is not an uncommon occurrence. The maintenance staff there keeps paint remover on hand, she said.
