Week in Review: A Look Back at News on the Sammamish Plateau

Fourth of July news and information dominated the week. See where and how you can celebrate, and be sure to let us know how much fun you had.

It was a busy week in Sammamish as the sun came out and everyone started looking forward to the long Fourth of July weekend. Here’s a look at some of the week’s top news.

Monday: Sammamish Patch real estate columnist Joan Probala provided us with information on the . Sammamish’s Barbara Martin was introduced as the , and the Sammamish City Council approved a . 

Tuesday: Robert Baldino took a look at the art exhibit currently on display in City Hall. Sammamish Patch Editor Brad Wong examined the city’s new . The Sammamish Police Department launched its very own , and Patch.com provided visitors with information on the new directory.

Wednesday: Kathleen Miller checked in with a bunch of suggestions for in the Sammamish area, and highlighted some great . We also got a preview of Swedish’s new thanks to Patch intern Fernando Sioson. 

Thursday: Thursday was a busy day for police and fire info. We saw two different , one of which focused on . Eastside Fire and Rescue also provided us with information on and .

Friday: Brad Wong gave us an update on in Sammamish. Patch.com provided us with a roundup of and Whiz kid  earned himself a spot in a prestigious aerospace internship.

Saturday: Always concerned for the safety of our pets, Denise Steele Darnell provided us with information to , and Dusty Somers updated us on the Sammamish Rowing Association’s effort to .

Sunday: Just ahead of the big day, the Washington State Fire Marshal’s office , and let us know they’d be at Sammamish’s Fourth on the Plateau celebration to meet voters.
