Wrong-Way Driver Causes I-90 Crash with Semi

A Bellevue driver hit a semi early this morning near the Highway 18 exit of Interstate 90 as she headed Westbound on the Eastbound lanes of the freeway.

A 23-year old Bellevue woman, Breanne M. Cedarleaf, is being booked into King County Jail on suspicion of DUI after causing a head-on collision with a UPS truck (a 2005 International Semi) early this morning.

Trooper Julie Judson of the Washington State Patrol said the acident happened just before 2 a.m. Friday, June 15, when Cedarleaf apparently was driving a 2009 Dodge Journey Westbound in the Eastbound lanes of Interstate 90, near state Route 18, East of Issaquah.

When Cedarleaf and Richard Bullion, the driver of the UPS truck, saw each other, they both took evasive action, which Judson said likely prevented a more serious crash. Cedarleaf was treated and released from Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah, and Bullion was uninjured in the crash.
