Supposedly, the trail will be better than ever, but not until next year.
In the meantime, the , between Gilman Boulevard and the roundabout at SE 43rd Street is closed.
I don't know about you all, but I've seen a lot of bicycists on the busy thoroughfare with no bike lane per se, who probably would prefer to have the trail open.
So I'm wondering, if you commute, or drive, how are you dealing with the traffic change that will persist for almost a year?

The East Lake Sammamish Trail - Issaquah Segment (between Gilman Boulevard and SE 43rd Street) is currently under construction and has been closed since May 16, 2012. The expected completion date is in April 2013. See the trail closure map and the project FAQ for details.

The proposed Master Plan Trail will be a paved, multi-use path accommodating pedestrians and non-motorized uses, such as bicycles, skates, and strollers. The trail is be developed in phases as funding allows. The Redmond Segment, from NE 70th St to 187th Ave NE, was completed in November 2011 and included paving, drainage and landscaping improvements, and a 77-vehicle parking lot.
