Volunteer Meet & Greet

Are you new to Sammamish or looking to meet more people? Do you enjoy getting outside and putting some energy into Sammamish parks, especially in our native garden?

The Lower Commons native plant garden is managed exclusively by volunteers. It needs regular maintenance and we are looking for more volunteers to help with this project.

During the fall and spring we offer several weekend volunteer projects which help but aren’t enough to maintain the garden. Beginning on July 12 we will start holding volunteer projects from 10am until noon, on the second Thursday of the month. Although we will be maintaining (weeding) the garden, the emphasize will be on meeting new people and learning from our native plant stewards more about invasive and native plants that thrive in Sammamish. All ages are welcome
