Government Notes: Issaquah School District to Receive Legislators this Evening

Upcoming meetings scheduled for Issaquah City Government and School District, May 22-25.

  • The Issaquah School Board will hold a special meeting tonight, May 22, at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Administration Service Center. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct a conversation with district legislators from the 41st, 48th, and 5th districts about the prior and upcoming legislative sessions.  The meeting is open to the public and no action will be taken.
  • Meanwhile, at the Issaquah City , the council will hear a presentation and discussion of transition plans as it prepares to shift its solid waste contract to Cleanscapes. The City’s current contract with Waste Management runs through June. The council will also hear an update on the Central Issaquah Plan following an April 19 open house and public hearing.

Through Friday, June 1, the Elementary Reading materials recommended by the Instructional Materials Committee in the following categories will be on public display during business hours in the lobby of the Administration Building. Public comment forms are available, and the board will review the feedback in June.
