Newt Gingrich to Hold Rallies in Everett and Federal Way on Friday, Feb. 24

The presidential candidate's visit follows recent trips to Puget Sound by President Obama, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul.

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich will speak in Everett on Friday in a rally to be held at the Historic Everett Theater, 2911 Colby Ave. The event, which is free and open to the public, is at 7 p.m.

The rally will cap a two-day swing through the state that today sees Gingrich in Spokane and Kennewick.

His Puget Sound appearances begin Friday at 9:45 a.m. when he visits the state Capitol building in Olympia. The event is not open to the public.

While he is in Olympia, Gingrich's wife, Calista Gingrich, will tour the city's Evergreen Christian School. The event is not open to the public. She will read Sweet Land of Liberty to students.

After Olympia, Gingrich will travel to Federal Way, where he will speak at a 12:30 p.m. rally at Best Western Plus Evergreen Inn & Suites, 32124 25th Ave. S. It is free and open to the public.
