Update: NE 124th Street Near Carnation Open

A ruptured beaver dam was believed to be the cause of the flooding, but the road is opened now.

Update, 3 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5: Northeast 124th St between SR 203 and W. Snoqualmie Valley has been reopened to traffic.

Original story: The King County Road Services Division is advising residents that Northeast 124th Street between SR 203 and W. Snoqualmie Valley Road near Carnation is closed due to flooding. At this point the cause of the flooding is believed to be a ruptured beaver dam above NE 124th Street. Agencies are currently on-site and clean up will begin when the water has receded.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes until water and debris have been removed and the roadway reopened.
