Whitten, Valderrama and Vance Maintain Leads in City Council Races

Brian Deagle and Suzanne Weaver also maintaining leads in Issaquah School Board race.

In the race for Sammamish City Council Position No. 2, incumbent Nancy Whitten leads challenger Kathy Richardson with 3,756 votes (53.29 percent), to Richardson's 3,278 votes (46.51 percent).

In the race for Sammamish City Council Position No. 4, Ramiro Valderrama leads Jim Wasnick with 3,924 votes (56.67 percent), to Wasnick's 2,987 votes (43.14 percent).

In the race for Sammamish City Council Position No. 6, Tom Vance leads Jesse Bornfreund with 4,546 votes (67.9 percent), to Bornfreund's 2,125 votes (31.74 percent).

According to King County, these figures represent 8,079 ballots cast out of 27,117 registered voters in Sammamish, approximately 30 percent. The county projected turnout of 52 percent.

In the race for Issaquah School Board Director of District No. 3 Brian Deagle leads Patrick Sansing with 8,679 votes (65.02 percent), to Sansing's 4,626 votes (34.81 percent).

In the race for Issaquah School Board Director of District No. 5 Suzanne Weaver leads Brian Neville with 8,690 votes (64.02 percent), to Neville's 4,842 votes (35.67 percent).

According to King County, these figures represent 18,115 ballots cast out of 58,258 registered voters in the district, approximately 31 percent. The county projected turnout of 52 percent.

Ballots are continuing to be counted and King County will release updated results tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 4:30 pm.
