The June 9th concert will be highlighted with a performance featuring Sammamish Symphony’s 2013 Youth Concerto Competition Winner, Olivia Marckx, an 8th grader at Odle Middle School in Bellevue, and has received honors at the Seattle Young Artists Music Festival and MTNA competitions for the last three years, and recently was awarded 2nd place at the Coeur d’Alene National Young Artists Competition. The Sounds of Russia program includes Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5 in D minor, and Sviridov’s The Snowstorm.
