Eastlake Lady Wolves Headed to State 4A Basketball Tourney

The Wolves cleaned up at regionals against Rogers to secure one of eight slots at the WIAA state finals.

The Eastlake Girls Basketball team is headed to the 4A state finals after a definitive win against Rogers last Saturday, 75-35.

The Lady Wolves had already dominated Rogers by the half, with a score of 43-15. Bella Zennon and Caleigh McCabe led the charge, scoring 15 points and 14 points respectively, contributing to the end of Rogers' come-back run, according to the Tacoma News Tribune.

After the game, Wolves' coach Sara Goldie summed up the team's excitement in a tweet to team followers: "After a game like that you'd think I could sleep...wrong. Can't stop thinking about the game and how well my girls played. Go Wolves!"

The Lady Wolves are set to challenge Central Valley, from Spokane Valley, March 1 at 9 a.m. at the Tacoma Dome. To follow the action, follow @GoLadyWolves on Twitter.

The 4A Girls state championship game will be broadcast on WIAA March 3 at 8 p.m.
