Eastside Catholic Topples Stadium Girls in Lacrosse

Eastside Catholic (4-2-1) next faces Bellevue in an 8:15 p.m. matchup, Friday, April 19 at Bellevue High School.

Valerie Vachris scored six goals as Eastside Catholic earned its fourth high school girls lacrosse win of the year in a 17-7 defeat of Stadium, Wednesday at Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish.

The game was featured as the Washington State High School Game of the Week on The Lacrosse Network.

Vachris also recorded three ground balls and caused two turnovers on defense for the Crusaders. Maddie Banks added three goals and two assists in the win.

Emma Rodriguez, Sadie Pickering and Grace Elliott contributed two goals apiece on offense in the Tigers' fourth loss of the season.

Wednesday's victory was the fourth straight for the Crusaders, who started the season 0-2. Goalkeeper Justice Gilbert recorded a game-high nine saves in Wednesday's matchup.
