Issaquah Schools Benefit Raises Thousands for New Books

Money raised will help buy much-needed books for every school in the district.

Issaquah High School students from Lisa Sibbett’s freshman World Studies class give a thumbs up to the new books donated to their library by the Issaquah Schools Foundation.

Guests of the Foundation’s recent Nourish Every Mind Benefit Luncheon contributed over $7,000 to fulfill a wish-list of book requests for every elementary, middle and high school in the District as well as the Echo Glen Center.

Says Issaquah High School librarian Bill Schadt, “It’s nice to be able to pick titles I know kids will like and that are popular right now. The Foundation’s donation makes it possible for us to have multiple copies of these in-demand titles on the shelves for our students. We’re grateful for their support.”
