Issaquah Schools Start 2 Hours Late Today; LWSD Starts On Time

The Issaquah School District announced that all schools are on delayed start, and buses will follow snow routes today, Dec. 18.

The last day of school before winter vacation will start a little later for students in the Issaquah School District--two hours later.

ISD sent a note to parents a few minutes ago announcing that all schools in the district will start two hours late today, and buses will follow snow routes. As of 5:25 a.m., the Lake Washington School District website indicated that all schools in that district will begin on time this morning. Students in both districts begin winter vacation on Wednesday.

The latest weather reports for Sammamish and Issaquah call for snow or rain throughout today and tonight, turning to rain for the remainder of the week.

Here's the note from the Issaquah School District:

Due to snow and icy conditions throughout the area, Issaquah School District schools will start two hours late today, Tuesday December 18.  School buses will be running on snow routes.

Check your Emergency Transportation Brochure to see where your snow route bus stops are located. If your area is not listed with a snow route stop, go to your regular stop. Please note: Students will be returned to the same bus stop where they were picked up in the morning, regardless of after-school road conditions.

Snow route travel conditions mean the following programs are cancelled tomorrow in all Issaquah schools:
