Skyline, Eastside Catholic Advance to State Football Finals

Skyline beat Camas and Eastside Catholic bested University to make it to the big dance, a first for Eastside Catholic.

After beating University at Joe Albi Stadium in Spokane 42-31, the Eastside Catholic Crusaders will take on Bellevue for the 3A championship on Friday, Nov. 30, at 7:30 p.m. It will be the first title game for Eastside Catholic, which had made it to the semifinals just once before, the Seattle Times reports.

Skyline brought home a semifinal win in its 4A contest against Camas at the Tacoma Dome, winning 51-28, putting it in position for a title game against Bellarmine Prep Saturday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m. Skyline senior Max Browne gave a performance that put him within a stone's throw of overtaking DeSales' Brian Lindgren as the state's career passing leader, with 387 yards for the game, the Times reports.
