Boys Lacrosse: Skyline Falls to King's Way in State Tournament

Skyline was eliminated, 19-10, by King's Way Tuesday in the Washington Lacrosse Boys State Championship Tournament.

Clayton Frank scored five goals to lead King’s Way into the quarterfinals of the Washington Lacrosse Boys State Championship Tournament with a 13-10 first round playoff win over Skyline, Tuesday at King’s Way Christian School in Vancouver, Wash.  

Frank, a Columbia River High School senior, finished the night with six points (5g, 1a) and five ground balls.  

He was joined by sophomore Evan Ramirez and Camas senior Connor Dyehouse, who each had three. Goaltender Conrad Littlefield had 12 saves.  

Skyline was led by Charlie Kurtenbach with 4 goals and 3 assists And Cannon Gardner had two goals and two assists.  

The win sets up a Thursday, May 23 quarterfinal matchup for the Knights (10-5-0) with Eastside Catholic (12-2-0), which King’s Way defeated 14-13 in a March 22 overtime win. The game gets underway at 7 p.m. at the Eastside Catholic School in Sammamish. Skyline finished its season with a 11-10-0 record.
