Eastlake/Skyline Football: Wolves dominate Thomas Jefferson 48-0, Skyline destroys Monroe 59-31

Ryan Lewis sets single season touchdown record for Eastlake with 23, and Max Browne throws five touchdown passes for Skyline in a rout over Monroe.

Ryan Lewis had two of three touchdowns in a 34 point explosion in the second quarter as the third ranked (9-1) football team dominated an outmatched Thomas Jefferson High School 48-0 in the State Class 4A Football Preliminary round contest at Eastlake High School on Friday.

Lewis rushed for 146 yards and rested most of the second half as the Wolves were up 40-0 at halftime. Keegan Kemp was efficient in the passing game as he connected for three touchdowns in the first half as well including two touchdown passes to Brian Quick.

The defense kept Jefferson quarterback K.W. Williams in check all night, barely letting the Raiders across the 50 yard line for the majority of the night.

With the win Eastlake will advance to the State Class 4A First Round next Saturday against Federal Way High School at Federal Way in what should be one of the more entertaining first round playoff contests.

Just up the road at , The Spartans (7-3) ended upstart Monroe's (6-4) playoff hopes very quickly and decisively as they rolled to a 59-31 victory at Skyline High School on Friday night in the State Class 4A Football Playoff Preliminary Round.

Monroe tried slowing the game down early but it wasn't going to be enough as Max Browne and the aerial assault of Skyline were going to be too much to handle over the course of four quarters for the Bearcats.

With the game still in the balance a little at 24-7 Damian Greene came up with an interception and ran it back 78 yards to set up a short Max Browne touchdown pass to put the Spartans ahead 31-7, effectively putting the game out of reach.

Browne was 17 of 25 on the evening, throwing for 263 yards, five touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Nick Sblendorio took top honors receiving wise as he caught five passes for 123 yards and had three touchdown receptions on the night.

Skyline will now move on to the State Class 4A First Round and travel across the state to play Mead High School in Spokane, Next Saturday. Start time TBA.
