Eastside Catholic Sophomore Signs with U of Maryland Lacrosse Program

Colin MacIlvennie is the first West Coast sophomore to commit to a top tier Division I Lacrosse program

Colin MacIlvennie, a 6’ 0”, 165 pound Sophomore Midfielder from Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish, verbally committed to the University of Maryland last week. MacIlvennie is the first Sophomore on the West Coast to commit to a top tier Division I Lacrosse program.

Colin is a product of the Seattle Starz Lacrosse Club and the Washington Jr. Stealth, both directed by NLL and LXM Pro player, Lewis Ratcliff.

“The opportunity to receive a great education at the University of Maryland and to play for a top Division I Lacrosse program is a dream come true. Seattle Starz and West Coast Starz allowed me to play with the best players in Washington and the West, be coached by the very best and provided the venue to play against the top competition in the country. Without the support of my parents, teammates and coaches, the chance to play for Maryland would not have been attainable,” MacIlvennie said.
