Eastside Precision Drill Team

Eastside Precision Drill Team is an organization formed in March of 2007 for girls to learn and perform precision drill team.  We have a great group of girls ready to welcome you to our family and join in the fun. If you're looking for a more dance-style drill team please give us some consideration. The basic principles of drill team still apply and we have a lot of fun.

We currently have 16 members ranging in age from 7 to 16. As the name "Eastside" implies, you don't have to live where we practice in Redmond or attend a specific school to join our team. Our team is open to girls from anywhere in the greater "Eastside" area and beyond. We are working on building 2 teams; junior (ages 5 up to 12 - Note - girls over 9 will be placed on junior or senior based on ability) and senior (ages up to 18). We have a great group of junior marchers and are eagerly looking for more middle school and high school girls to build our senior team. Of course we welcome new members of both Jr. and Sr. ages, so come join the fun!

BENEFITS

Many studies have shown that girls who are involved in sports and other team activities have higher self-esteem, more self- confidence, and are less likely to participate in risky behaviors (crime, drugs, etc).   Our team provides an activity that will build self-confidence and self-esteem.  Our
team teaches teamwork, respect for others (adults and peers), along with responsibility for our actions.  We strive to appreciate each team member for who they are and show them that they are valued as a team member and as a person.

LIGHT ATHLETICS

We considered our activity to be light athletics with most kids of all ages being capable of performing our style of marching with little difficulty.  Kids will learn to march in rhythm with the team and coordinate their arms with their feet while the team maneuvers into formations.

PARENTS

Parent participation is welcome at any level.  You do not have to come to all the parades or organize events or chair fundraisers.   We do ask that parents support the team with fundraisers that are adult only in nature.  Our team has a few key support functions that require parent's help so if you want to jump in we can give you something to do.  Like any team activity, participation by the team members in practices and events is key to building a team so at a minimum we ask for parents to make attendance
a priority.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
