Those are followed by a round of eight the following weekend at the T-Dome. Each regional site will feature four teams, two of which will advance to the round of eight. Every regional will have one automatic advance game and one loser-out game on Friday. The winner of the loser-out game will then play the loser of the automatic advance game on Saturday for the final spot in the round of eight from the regional.

For example, Skyline and South Kitsap play in the loser-out game of the Rogers (Puyallup) region on Friday, while Bellarmine Prep and Federal Way play in the automatic advance game. The winner of the Skyline/South Kitsap game will advance to play Saturday, while the loser will be eliminated. The winner of the Bellarmine Prep/Federal Way game automatically advances to the round of eight at the Tacoma Dome, while the loser plays the winner of the Skyline/South Kitsap game on Saturday for the final spot in the round of eight out of the region.

Teams:

Skyline (16-8) – The Spartans made a surprising run to the KingCo 4A title game to secure a spot in the state tournament. Megan Weideman averages a double-double for Skyline, which is 6-3 in its last nine games.

South Kitsap (18-6) – The Wolves tumbled a bit late in the playoffs, losing two of their final three games following a four game win streak. South Kitsap started the season 8-0, but is just 10-6 since then.
