4th of July: What's Open, What's Closed

Independence Day is a holiday. What's open and what's closed in Sammamish and Issaquah?

Independence Day is Wednesday, July 4. Here is a list of what’s open and what's closed.

Please note that several Issaquah streets will be closed for the from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.:

  • Front Street North from Northwest Gilman Boulevard to East Sunset Way
  • Rainier Boulevard North from Northwest Dogwood to Northwest Juniper
  • East Sunset Way from Front Street to Second Avenue Southeast
  • Front Street South from East Sunset Way to Newport Way Southwest

Sammamish City Hall and Issaquah City Hall are closed Thursday. It will reopen Friday, July 5.

Bellevue College, which is on summer quarter, is closed Thursday for the holiday.

King County government: Closed.

King County Library System: closed.

King County Metro: Holiday schedule. Click here to see how your route is affected.

Sound Transit: Sunday schedule

King County Transfer Stations (AKA King County Solid Waste Division): Open regular hours. The Factoria location at 13800 SE 32nd St. is open from 6:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

State of Washington: Closed.

Washington State Ferries: All routes will operate on a holiday schedule.

Federal government (including the U.S. Postal Service): Closed

Banks: Many, if not most, will be closed. Check your local branch.

Garbage and Recycling: Garbage and recycling will be on its regular schedule in Sammamish & Issaquah.
