After the Fireworks: Cleanup Party at Sammamish Commons July 5

The community is invited out--all ages--to help local boy scouts police Sammamish Commons from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 5.

We've been talking about volunteering with kids on Facebook and we have a story coming, but in the meantime, here's a great way to get out with the little ones on what promises to be another beautiful Northwest day July 5.

Local boy scouts help the city of Sammamish after the community fireworks celebration, by policing the grounds of and families are invited to come out and lend a hand--no need to register as a volunteer, just show about between 9 and 10 a.m. Sammamish volunteer coordinator Dawn Sanders says the city has litter grabbers and bags, and it's a fun morning. The work should be done by noon, she says.
