Lake Washington School District

<p>The Redmond-based Lake Washington School District operates seven public schools in Sammamish and largely serves students in the northern part of the city.</p> <p>Those schools are: Eastlake High School, route: {:controller=>"listings", :id=>"eastlake-senior-high-school", :action=>"show"} -->, Inglewood Jr. High School, Elizabeth Blackwell Elementary, Rachel Carson Elementary, Christa McAuliffe Elementary, Margaret Mead Elementary and <!-- name: Samantha Smith Elementary. </p> <p>In total, the district has 24,560 students. While a five-member board sets policy, the superintendent manages staff and handles the implementation of goals.</p> <p>The district also serves students in Redmond, Kirkland and Woodinville.</p>
