Thanks Marjorie, I'll add this information after I hear back the school district, they're trying toRead More confirm all of the schools. We asked We Day organizers for schools who would be in attendance and the schools we mentioned were the ones we were told were participating.

Eastlake and Inglewood Jr High are also attending. Please include all schools when making thisRead More announcement. I will bet Skyline also has students attending.

Teens and young adults listen best to their peers. This video should be shown at every school.Read More Schools talk about anti bullying but that's all it is talk. Lack of respect for each other is not there because families no longer teach respect for others. I have heard many teens say the anti drug testimonies at drug assemblies just make them want to experiment. Back to the video, it takes courage to not only stand up for what they believe and even stronger courage to make a global announcement. So thank you Ms. Stendal for sharing your courage.

Unbelievably brazen. With all of the construction on W. Lake Samm in that area, the traffic isRead More running heavier than usual - and there is usually a Bellevue Police presence at the roundabout to control it. Seems like in all of the confusion it has become less risky for criminals to carry out their misdeeds?

I suppose we can deduce from these numbers that the decrease in teen depression and suicidalRead More ideation corresponds with an increase in smoking, drinking, using drugs, and having sex.

It is interesting that 10th graders show higher rates of depression and suicidal thoughts than theRead More 12th graders. I wonder if that is usually the case or if it correlates with with some outside influence, such as war, 9/11 or economy, during an important milestone in their lives.

Good news about tobacco use. I do find it depressing that teens consider marijuana use less riskyRead More while thoughts of suicide are going up. Studies have shown a direct correlation of marijuana addiction to depression and suicide.
