Skyline High School occupies a site on the Sammamish Plateau's southern portion and serves students inMore grades nine to 12 from Sammamish and Issaquah.

Similar to Eastlake and Eastside Catholic, the two other high schools in Sammamish, it sits off 228th Avenue and stresses academic excellence. The school graduated its first class in 1999. In October 2009, it had 1,356 students: 698 males and 658 females. The school boasts a graduation rate of nearly 97 percent.

Skyline offers the International Baccalaureate honors program, which is open to juniors and seniors and ends with final examinations. The program requires students to write an essay and participate in a service class. Universities around the world recognize the program, which fits with Skyline's global outlook.

Of the school's 58 teachers during the 2009-10 academic year, 72 percent had received their Master's degree, state officials reported. On average, each teacher has nearly 12 years of experience. The school's mascot are the Spartans.

The middle schools which feed Skyline are Beaver Lake (Issaquah) and Pine Lake. Elementary students from the following schools are in the Skyline attendance area: Cascade Ridge, Challenger (Issaquah), Endeavour (Issaquah), Discovery, Creekside and Sunny Hills (where half of the students will attend Skyline).
