Washington Fencing Academy provides fencing classes, coaching and events to people of all ages and skill levels in aMore fun, safe environment. It also helps them get a good workout. Structured classes are available, as are "open" fencing times and private instruction. Off-site programs at schools, parks and community centers also are available. The fencing taught is traditional Olympic-style fencing with sabre and epee. While students are invited to participate in competitions, it is not mandatory. A merit system, similar to belt ranking systems in martial arts, allows students to track their progress. Camp programs also are available.
