Sometimes we all need a little help. Sometimes we just need to be left alone to find our own way and, sometimes we need a little of both. This can be applied to the Federal Government.
Recently, the Federal Government initiated regulations that will have a huge effect on the ability of qualified buyers to purchase a home. But, have they gone too far? Are these new regulations helping or hindering the real estate market? Since it is clear that the economy is dependent on jobs and housing, any effort to hinder qualified buyers from buying a home is detrimental to the 9 percent-plus unemployment rate. Credit scores are required to be 700-plus with a 20 percent down to qualify for “good” interest rates. Sixty to 70percent of all loans have statistically had less than 20 percent down. Even though the reports consistently highlight homes that are underwater, the majority of homeowners are still making their monthly payments …

More sommeliers, more crush, more truth and more food and wine harmony.

Even though less than a third of candidates pass the advanced sommelier test, the Seattle area has a high concentration of advanced sommeliers. Lara said mentoring tracing back to former Canlis wine director and master sommelier Robert Bigelow has sprouted the vibrant sommelier community. Bigelow mentored master sommelier Shayn Bjornholm, who replaced Bigelow as wine director. In turn, Bjornholm trained the current Canlis wine director, Nelson Daquip, also an advanced sommelier along with …

Wolves total team effort knocks off Skyline.
Ryan Lewis's 198 yards and two touchdowns, combined with a total team effort on defense, propelled the top ranked Eastlake Wolves (8-0, 4-0 KingCo Crest) to a 28-21 win over third-ranked Skyline (5-3, 3-1 KingCo Crest) Friday night in a thriller that included a power outage late in the fourth quarter. "For our kids this has been a long time coming," Eastlake head coach Gene Dales said. "You've always been the stepchild, and now you get to be on top of the throne for a week." The win was the first in this backyard rivalry for Eastlake in school history against Skyline. The Spartans opened the scoring with a Max Browne screen pass to Damian Greene down the left hand sideline from 8 yards out with 3:39 left in the first quarter to give them a…
