Sammamish Police Blotter: $27K in Jewelry Missing and Social Security Cards, IDs, $20K in Jewelry Snatched

Saturday, Sept. 24 Liquor/Tobacco Violations: Police were dispatched to Beaver Lake Park after a man reported seeing a group of teenage boys carrying a limp or possibly intoxicated teenage girl into the park. When police checked the park, they caught up with three boys running from the woods. The boys, ages 15 to 16, said that a girl was freaking out back on the trail. Police soon found another male holding a female who was convulsing. The male said that she’d had a Four Loko, an alcoholic beverage, and XTC, an energy drink. He also said that she was on prescription anti-depression medication. The male said that they had started drinking 24-ounce Four Lokos at about 1 p.m. and that they’d had about one and a half. Sammamish Police Blotter: Party Attracts 200 Cars, Thief Snags $10K in Goods, Woman Registers 0.234 on Alcohol Test

Saturday, Sept. 10 Auto Theft: A man living on Southeast 16th Place contacted police after discovering that his Dodge truck had been stolen from his driveway overnight. The man believes that he may have left the truck unlocked with the keys in it. A neighbor reported seeing a light blue SUV driving up and down the road seven or eight times while the Skyline High School - Bellevue High School football game was being played. Monday, Sept. 12 Burglary: A man living on 195th Avenue Southeast contacted police after he discovered that his home had been burglarized while he was out with some friends. Hundreds in Sammamish Walk, run and Bike at the Seek Justice Challenge

The Sammamish Presbyterian Church event on Saturday raised money to fight modern day slavery.

Several hundred competitors came out early on Saturday morning to take part in the Sammamish Presbyterian Church’s Seek Justice Challenge and help raise money for the International Justice Mission. Competitors took part in their choice of a 5K walk, a 10K run, or two different cycling events. There was also a kids' fun run for younger participants. The day’s festivities included live music, lunch and a program detailing the efforts of the International Justice Mission, which works to end modern day slavery and human trafficking. Issaquah’s Mat Philipsen served as race director and took part in the 10K run.  “The music’s great, it’s been great weather, we had a bigger turnout than we expected,” Philipsen said. “It’s been a really fun event…

Sammamish Police Blotter: Purse Stolen From House While Family Sleeps, Person Claims to be From Microsoft and Offers Malware Help to Mac Owner

Saturday, Sept. 2 Liquor/Tobacco violations: Police arrested three 18-year-old women during a football game at Skyline High School for being extremely intoxicated. One of the women was eventually transported to Overlake Hospital Medical Center for detoxification. Saturday, Sept. 3 Driving While License Revoked: Police arrested an 18-year-old Sammamish man for driving with a suspended license after he was pulled over for speeding (53 mph in a 35-mph zone). A computer check revealed that the driver had a suspended license and a warrant for his arrest out of Issaquah. The driver was booked into Issaquah Jail and his vehicle was impounded. Sammamish Police Blotter: Shotgun, Rifle, Vicodin, Oxycodone Swiped - and $21K in Deposits Appear

Monday, Aug. 15 Burglary: A Sammamish man living on 244th Avenue Northeast contacted police after a motorcycle and a pickup truck exited his driveway as he was returning home. The man noticed a lawnmower in the back of the truck and pursued the vehicles. He eventually lost them and then called 911. The house had recently been put up for sale and someone had tampered with the lock box. When police arrived, they found that the house had been ransacked. Two flatware sets, a jewelry box containing a pair of gold cufflinks valued at $2,000, a pair of binoculars, a shotgun and a .22-caliber rifle were stolen. Wednesday House Fire Causes About $550K in Damages

The Sammamish fire was reported Wednesday around 6 p.m. Medics took an elderly man, who was inside the home, to the hospital.

The Wednesday night house fire in the Sahalee neighborhood of Sammamish was caused either by a golf cart or the charger attached to it, Tom Devine of the King County Sheriff’s Office fire investigation unit said Friday morning. The cart was plugged in an outlet at the time, he said. The initial dollar damage estimate is between $500,000 and $550,000. That includes the structure, vehicles in the garage and contents. Insurance companies, Devine added, determine the actual dollar amount. In the garage at the time, he said, were a Ford Ranchero and another car. Both were lost in the blaze, which shot flames up as high as 50 feet and decimated walls and the roof. Neighbors reported flames coming from the house in the 2000 block of 208th Place …

Sammamish Police Blotter: Man Tries Forgery for Oxycodone, Fraudulent Charges Discovered on Accounts, Including 40 Hits on one

Sunday, Aug. 14 Forged Prescriptions: Sammamish police were dispatched to Rite Aid in response to a forgery in progress. Police received a description of the suspect and stopped him as he was on his way out of the store. The man had a prescription written out to a woman that he said he did not know, and had her state of Washington services card. The man said someone else had given him the prescription and card. The man was later booked into King County Jail on two outstanding warrants. The prescription had been for Oxycodone. Monday, Aug. 15 Burglary: A Sammamish man living on 212th Avenue Southeast contacted police after discovering that someone had broken a lock on a shed door. Saturday, Aug. 6 Boat Theft: A Sammamish woman contacted police after her mother’s Jet Ski and trailer were stolen from outside her residence on East Lake Sammamish Shore Lane Northeast. The woman said that her mother’s home is up for sale and several people have come by the house to pick up items that have been listed for sale on Craigslist. Monday, Aug. 8 Vandalism: A Sammamish woman living at the Knolls Apartments contacted police after someone threw a beer bottle through one of her apartment’s windows. The woman believes the incident was in retaliation for a noise complaint she had made to the police earlier that day. The apartment overlooks the pool area and after the window was broken the occupants looked outside and saw five males …

Sunday, July 31 Burglary: A Sammamish man living on Southeast 40th Street contacted police after discovering his laptop had been stolen from his house. He had used the laptop earlier that day and suspects someone may have entered the home through a garage door he left open. Attempted Burglary: A Sammamish man living on Southeast 15th Street contacted police after someone set off his house alarm. The man was upstairs when the alarm went off and when he want downstairs to check on things he discovered two of is three garage doors open and someone running away. A motion sensor in the garage tripped the alarm and nothing appeared to be stolen. Monday, Aug. 1 Larceny: A Sammamish man living on Northeast Inglewood Hill Road contacted police …
