I enjoy the synergy received from the learning process, both as student and instructor. I equally enjoy encouraging others to do all they can to protect and increase their health. Of particular interest is assisting others with the removal of harmful personal and household products as well as the adoption of a healthy cleansing program. I am an advocate for families, especially children. One of my pertinent projects, Parents for Healthier Living, was conceived to bring awareness regarding harmful personal and household products.

My interest in wellness dates back to an early position I held at one of the teaching hospitals in Washington, DC. That was many years ago and a seed planted. Although unknown to me at the time, that seed would sprout and contribute to my journey as a Mom dedicated to fostering good health practices among a family of five; campaigning for safe water as well as home and personal care products and studying to become a nutrition specialist.

A natural bent for discovery, which in fact fueled my study of journalism, blends well with my desire to help others in whatever ways that I can. I am glad to be able to offer health related articles and workshops towards that end as well as unite with organizations such as Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, MomsRising.org, Healthy Child Healthy World, and The Shaklee Corporation.
